Main functions of Archives Department:
- implementation of State policy in archiving of the documents in the city of Lutsk within its competence;
- coordination of city authorities, enterprises, institutions, organisations of all types of ownership in archiving of the documents;
- transfer of archive documentation of local significance to the National Archive Fund, keeping records, storage and usage of its data.
- carrying out the control of keeping the records by executive bodies of Lutsk City Council, enterprises, institutions, organisations, ensuring compliance with the Law of Ukraine «On National Archive Fund and Archive Institutions».
