Hryhorii Pustovit thanked Consul General of the Republic of Poland in Lutsk Wiesław Mazur for significant personal contribution to the development of Ukrainian-Polish cooperation
On July, 28 Secretary of Lutsk City Council, Acting Mayor Hryhorii Pustovit and Head of International Cooperation and Project Activities Department Victoria Homonets met with Consul General of the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Lutsk Wiesław Mazur. On the meeting Wiesław Mazur introduced his successor Sławomir Misiak who is going to replace him on this position from August. Wieslaw Mazur has been a Consul General of the Republic of Poland in Lutsk since 2017.
Hryhorii Pustovit expressed sincere gratitude to Consul General for his work. He noted that for that period a lot has been done to strengthen the friendship between Ukraine and Poland.
Victoria Homonets added that the Consulate has always been open to cooperation with the Lutsk City Council and its executive bodies, and the partnership with Polish twin cities such as Lublin, Zamość, Chełm, Olsztyn, Rzeszów, Toruń, Białystok has existed not only on paper. In recent years, joint projects have been actively implemented, in particular with the involvement of grant funds from the Cross-Border Cooperation Program "Poland - Ukraine - Belarus".
Wiesław Mazur noticed that the city authorities have always supported the Consulate's initiatives and expressed hope that all the projects which had already been started would be continued in future.
At the end of the meeting, Hryhorii Pustovit awarded the Consul General of the Republic of Poland in Lutsk Wiesław Mazur with the Mayor's Diploma for significant personal contribution to the development of Ukrainian-Polish cooperation.
