Literary residence “City of Inspiration” will take place in Lutsk

On the occasion of the 150th anniversary of Lesya Ukrainka's birthday from May 17 to June 20 a project Lutsk literary residence "City of Inspiration" will be held in our city. It is  the first time this kind of the events is going to take place in Lutsk.

The main idea of the Lutsk literary residence is to popularize Lutsk as an art center and a tourist attractive city with a rich historical and cultural heritage and traditions, renowned for its outstanding personalities who lived and created here.

For five weeks, five top Ukrainian writers will be staying in Lutsk. The outcome of the project is a collection of works (novels, essays, short stories) created by residents in which Lutsk will be a place where main events of the plot will take place. The first residents will be: Oksana Zabuzhko, Kateryna Kalytko, Myroslav Layuk, Max Kidruk, Lyubko Deresh.

The co-organizer of the project is the creative agency "Balyandrasy" (Kyiv).

Project partners: Litosvita program director Svitlana Pryvalova, cultural industries manager Iryna Plekhova, book project manager Yulia Laktionova, "Komora" publishing house (Kyiv), as well as a project patron partner - international recruitment company "Jobian".
