Rivers and Bank Areas of Lutsk and Rzeszów will be improved within an International Grant Project
The new joint project of Lutsk and Rzeszów (Republic of Poland) will receive additional funding from EU funds under the Cross-Border Cooperation Program Poland-Belarus-Ukraine 2014-2020 of the European Neighborhood Instrument.
Project is titled “Promotion and protection of the natural heritage of urban rivers and bank areas of Rzeszów and Lutsk”, in which the Executive Committee of the Lutsk City Council will be the Lead beneficiary.
Lutsk will receive about 29 thousand Euro of grant funds for the activities implementation to promote natural heritage sites (designation, creative "information pier" on the river Styr), as well as to exchange experiences between Lutsk citizens and Polish colleagues on the preservation of the city natural heritage and opportunities to use its tourism potential.
The active phase of the project implementation is planned for 2021, by the end of the current year it is expected to conduct negotiation procedures and to conclude a grant contract, partnership agreement, registration of the project in accordance with Ukrainian legislation, organizational matters.
The project application was prepared and submitted to the open competition of the Program by project management specialists of the administrations of the partner cities of Lutsk and Rzeszów on January 15. On 6 July the governing bodies of the Program approved the results of the evaluation of applications. In total, 178 applications were submitted to the competition from participants from Ukraine, Belarus and Poland, 26 of which were selected for co-financing.
