The discussion of the concept of celebration of 600th anniversary of the Congress of European Monarchs started in Lutsk
The meeting of the organizing committee was held today in the conference hall of the Center for Administrative Services to sum up the 590th anniversary of the Congress of European Monarchs in Lutsk and to discuss the concept of celebration of its 600th anniversary. In the meeting took part the head of the Department of Tourism and City Promotion Kateryna Telipska, , the head of the Department of Cultural Heritage Protection, Oleksandr Kotys, the head of the International Cooperation and Project Activities Department Victoriia Homonets, representatives of the executive bodies of Lutsk City Council, a leading researcher of the Lutsk Brotherhood Museum Olena Biriulina, representatives of higher education institutions of the city of Lutsk and others.
For several years now, we have been talking about the Congress of European Monarchs in Lutsk as one of the key point and image event for our city. Various meetings, events, festivals, celebrations are constantly arranged on this topic. Last year we reached a qualitatively new level: we created and developed the brand book, where the symbols of the event were indicated and used by all its participants, we celebrated the 590th anniversary, we created a promotional anniversary medal published a number of thematic publications and held about 20 public lectures dedicated to this topic and we conducted an international scientific conference with the participation of representatives of Poland, Belarus and Ukraine. In the framework of the event a wonderful performance "Twilight", a street play "Lutsko" was created, which premiered in Lublin. In cooperation with "Ukrposhta" we developed a stamp and envelopes with paintings of Olexandr Dyshko and Arthur Arleonov and did much more.
Kateryna Telipska stressed that from now on we had to keep all these achievements. The 600th anniversary of the Congress is ahead of us, and we have a 10-year period that we must use to prepare properly for this a large scale and international event.
Therefore, the participants discussed possible measures of preparation. In particular, the Department of Tourism and City Promotion proposed to hold such activities as educational programs on a matter, to promote museum pedagogy, research, media content creation, development of tourism, infrastructure, international cooperation and entrepreneurship.
During the meeting, members of the organizing committee made various suggestions and comments, which would be taken into consideration in further preparation for the celebration of the 600th anniversary of the Congress of European Monarchs in Lutsk.
