Increase young people’s interest and impact in the municipality decision making process

 

Target group: young people aged 14–22, representatives of formal education (teachers), non-formal education (leaders of youth NGOs, Youth Council, youth centres)

Specific objective: сreating a workbook for people who work with youth in formal and non-formal education in the fields of democracy and civic competencies.

Activities:

1. Conduction of survey among young people to discover their needs in respect of political participation and civic competences.
2. Online training for people working with youth in Piteå and Lutsk (by representative of Piteå).
3. Offline training for teachers (formal education) outside of schools.
4. Offline training for leaders of youth sector: youth NGOs, Youth Council, youth centres (non-formal education).
5. Working out and printing the workbook for representatives of formal and non-formal education with instructions on improving the civic competences of young people.
6. Conduction of survey among youth after they participated in lessons and seminars held by representatives of formal and non-formal education who passed trainings and used the workbook.

Travels: Piteå and Lutsk municipalities will conduct two exchange visits annually, each lasting four working days.
