The World Bank Project "Improving Health in the People's Service" (within the implementation of the Subproject "Improving Medical Care for Patients with Diseases of the Cardiovascular System in Volyn Region")

The Subsidiary Agreement between Ministry of Health of Ukraine and the Volyn Regional State Administration "On Realisation of the Subproject "Improvement of Medical Care for Patients with Cardiovascular Diseases in Volyn Region" was approved within the Loan Agreement between Ukraine and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development No. 8475-UA dated March 19, 2015.
The total cost of the project: 209,000 USD
Local budget financing: 20,900 USD

Current status of the project:
- in 2017, computer office equipment was purchased for the sum of 526,100 UAH;
- in 2018, medical equipment (furniture) was installed for the sum of 505,300 UAH;
- in 2018, an angiograph was delivered to the Lutsk City Clinical Hospital for the sum of 15,523.5 UAH;
- in 2019, consumables for medical tests were received, including test strips, in the sum of 252,200 UAH;
- a car was delivered to the Lutsk Primary Health Care Center No.1 for the sum of 365,000 UAH.

In the second quarter of 2018, the World Bank-funded project started extensive renovations on the premises of the municipal enterprise "Lutsk Primary Health Care Center No. 1," specifically targeting the general practice - family medicine outpatient clinic located at Bendeliani Street 7. The projected expenditure for these renovations is estimated at 3,147.2 thousand UAH. 

According to the World Bank's terms, the exterior of the building is to be repaired at the expense of the city budget (guarantee letter from the Executive Committee dated 05.04.2016 No. 1-1-3/2052). The estimated cost of the works is 1.5 million UAH.

The city budget provided funding for the project: in 2015 - 18.3 thousand UAH for the creation of design estimates for the overhaul of the APSSM facilities; in 2017 - 106.5 thousand UAH for the percentage of the equipment cost.
