Sustainable response to COVID-19 in Lutsk through the latest technology and public awareness

Grant: 50,000 EUR, without co-financing from the local budget.

Main project activities:

1. The Hamilton C3 smart ventilator has been purchased. It has also been upgraded with CO2 capnography and consumables. The smart ventilator is an exceptionally effective piece of equipment designed with cutting-edge intelligent monitoring modes for both patient condition and treatment. The ventilator is equipped with backup power and oxygen supply systems. This advanced technology is highly effective in the treatment of severe COVID and post-COVID patients and is used for managing conditions such as destructive pneumonia, atelectasis and severe respiratory failure.

2. A Mindray uMec 10 patient monitor has been bought.

3. 4 pulse oximeters KH-381 have been purchased.

The equipment is used in the Temporary Infectious Disease Hospital of the Municipal Enterprise "Medical Association of Lutsk City Territorial Community".

4. 1000 packs of vitamin-enriched and herbal tea have been bought and distributed to elderly patients, including those who have been infected with COVID-19. Information labels were attached to the tea bags. It was is a strategic purchase aimed at strengthening immune support.

5. An information campaign has been conducted on social media:

- there were created and distributed electronic posters with the main message "Take care of yourself" and sub-messages "Strengthen your immune system", "Do not ignore the symptoms of post-COVID", "Train your heart and respiratory system";

- 3 articles with relevant recommendations were posted on the website of Lutsk City Council.
