Aid from the Partner City of Torun (Republic of Poland)
On escalation of the conflict in the East of Ukraine Torun local authorities decided to provide Lutsk with an aid. President of Rzeszów Michal Zaleski wrote in his letter to Mayor of Lutsk: “Poland has also overcome the difficult political changes and we could always count on aid from our partners. Mutual help is the main idea of the partner-cities”.
Within this aid 100 school bags with a full set of required for school stuff, including pencil cases, pens, pencils, paint, clay, albums, notebooks, lunch bottles and lunch boxes were brought to Lutsk.
Volyn Regional Organization of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society is responsible for all the issues, regarding receiving and temporary storage of the aid.
