Delegation of Lutsk City Council takes part in the conference “Polish-Ukrainian border. Opportunity or barrier for social and economical development? Border cooperation – experience, skills, perspectives.”
The delegation of Lutsk City Council consisting of the Deputy Mayor of Lutsk Taras Yakovlev and the Head of the International Cooperation and Project Activities Department Vira Kudriavtseva is currently in Krasiczyn (Republic of Poland). The fourth annual conference “Polish-Ukrainian border. Opportunity or barrier for social and economical development? Border cooperation – experience, skills, prospects.” is taking place there.
The event traditionally takes place in Krasiczyn near Przemysl, in a castle and park complex. The representatives of government institutions, central and local governments, law-and-order forces, as well as borderland entrepreneurs will work on the solution of urgent problems and the optimisation of Polish-Ukrainian border functioning. It is worth mentioning that the range of problems discussed covers a big number of general issues and forms a perfect basis for finding contacts for trade, investments and business. The Conference Agenda envisages speeches of the representatives of Departments of Economic Affairs, business, education and culture, which will establish the basis for sessional discussion.
The conference will be opened by: Jacek Piechota and Oleksandr Shlapak, the Presidents of Polish-Ukrainian Cooperation Centre, Markiian Malskyi, Ukrainian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary in Poland, Władysław Ortyl, Marshal of Podkarpackie Voivodeship, Krzysztof Hetman, Marshal of Lubelskie Voivodeship and Robert Choma, President of Przemyśl .
It is worth adding that Taras Yakovlev will also take the floor with a presentation about the experience of Lutsk in the sphere of grant funds attraction for the city development as well as Lutsk’s prospects in a new program period of 2014-2020.
