Delegation of Lutsk City Council got acquainted with transport system of the Lippe District (Germany)
On February 11-14, 2020, a delegation of Lutsk City Council paid a working visit to the partner Lippe District (Germany) in the framework of the joint project "Use of environmental and smart technologies in Lutsk public transport".
The project is being implemented under the Partnership Projects for Sustainable Local Development (NAKOPA-2018) with the financial support of the Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development of Germany through the nonprofit Engagement Global LLC/Service Agency "Communities in One World".
The official delegation from the Lutsk City Council included: Head of Transport and Communications Department Volodymyr Stepanov, Advisor to the Mayor, member of the Lutsk City Council Yurii Bezpiatko, Deputy Head of the International Cooperation and Project Activities Department, Head of the International Relations Division Anna Vintsiuk, Head of the Housing and Transport Infrastructure Division of the Department of Housing and Communal Services Volodymyr Kozel, Chief Specialist of the Department of Transport and Communication Inna Artemchuk, Inspector of the Project Activity Division of the International Cooperation and Project Activities Department Andrii Sychuk.
During the visit the representatives of the City Council met with German counterparts, got acquainted with the concept of development of public transport of the Lippe District, received useful knowledge in the organization of traffic and fare collection system. The visit also included an overview of the public transport running through the towns and villages of the Lippe District.
German colleagues shared their initiatives in promoting the electric cars and bicycles, using smart technologies in car parking and attracting funds for the implementation of innovative transport projects. The delegation got acquainted with the road cleaning system of Lipper District in autumn-winter period.
During the visit the next steps of the project implementation were discussed and the next project experts meeting was agreed to be held in Lutsk this summer.
