Deputy Mayor Yurii Verbych met with observers for the parliamentary elections from OSCE and CANEOM
On 14 October Deputy Mayor Yurii Verbych met with missions of long-term observers for the parliamentary elections in Ukraine from Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) and Canadian Election Observation Mission (CANEOM).
Foreign guests informed about the purpose of their visit, which is to provide independent monitoring of the preparation and holding of parliamentary elections in Ukraine.
Yurii Verbych told observers about the organization of the electoral process in Lutsk and the role of Lutsk City Council in implementation of organizational and technical measures while preparing for the elections: providing the election commissions with premises, communication, computers, booths etc. Deputy Mayor also told about the Department of State Voter Register, its role and functions. He underlined that Lutsk is ready for the elections and has all the necessary resources for them, and the city authorities are doing everything to ensure fair, transparent and democratic elections in Lutsk.
In the end of the meeting, the foreign guests were able to see the session hall of Lutsk City Council, where at night, on completion of voting process, district election commission will be in conference and where counted at polling stations ballots will be delivered.
