Continuation of collaboration with the Belorusian colleagues within the working out of the joint cross-border projects
On March 21, 2016 the official delegation from Lutsk City Council, headed by Deputy Mayor Yurii Moklytsia was hosted in the city of Brest (Belorus), which is the partner-city of Lutsk. The visit was a continuation of the projects development within the framework of the territorial cooperation programme "Belarus-Ukraine". The delegation met with the Deputy Chairman of the executive committee of Brest City Council Nikolai Jakubowskii. After that, the members of the delegation were divided into three working groups on the directions - separate waste collection, sports, ecology and talked with the representatives of the specialized structural units of the executive committee of Brest City Council and communal enterprises that are working out projects jointly with the Ukrainian colleagues.
In addition, each working group had the opportunity to acquaint with the appropriate field on practice. Within the visit it was organized the excursion to Brest waste recycling plant, examined powerful sports base and visited the central "Park of culture and recreation", park in the district of "Dubrovka".
Summarising, it’s worth saying that the trip was effective and interesting and experience of Belarusian neighbors will be useful for the writing of future initiatives.
