Europe Day 2013 in Lutsk
On 18 May at the Lutsk Theater Square (Teatralnyi Maidan) events on the occasion of Europe Day took place. Downtown became the center of knowledge about the EU countries, their culture, history and customs. It turned into the "European Town", where everyone could find a place to relax and become acquainted with the European culture. The traditional activities on the occasion of Europe Day included:
- International competition "European Olympiad" – a competition of knowledge about the EU, in which pupils – the best experts of the European Union participated.
- European Union member-countries festival of traditions and customs – "Eurovision".
- Prize Radio Quiz devoted to Europe Day conducted on the radio station "Lutsk".
- Body art "Paint Europe" – volunteers-body art masters draw traditional European symbols on the desirouses’ hands or faces.
- Photo exhibition "Lutsk – your little Europe".
- "English-speaking club" under the open air.
- Volunteers’ distribution of the information presentational materials about Europe.
- Higher education institutions international activities presentation
- Drawing on the asphalt "Lutsk seen by kids"
