Final conference within the international conference concerning zoo modernization in Lutsk
On October 17, 2015 the final conference within the project “Modernization of Zoological Gardens in Zamość and Lutsk and Development of a Concept of Establishing a Recreation Zone in Rzeszów in Order to Develop Cross-border Qualified Nature Tourism” was taking place in the session hall of Lutsk City Council.
Guests from Rivne, Cherkasy, Kharkiv, Poltava, Vinnytsia, Odesa, Mykolayiv zoos were also participating in the conference.
Within the framework of the project the following activities were implemented:
- Built pavillions for bears with 4 enclosures, 2 pools and a viewing platform;
- Built pavillions for lions with separate enclosures and a viewing platform;
- Replaced the entrance gate and the zoo’s fence;
- Paved the new paths;
- Strengthened the bridge;
- Established a new lighting;
- Built the water system;
- Installed the surveillance cameras;
- Performed the general improvement of the zoo;
- Installed Wi-Fi at the zoo.
