ХХХ International festival of brass bands in Poland
On June 27-30 in Świecie (Poland) ХХХ International festival of brass bands took place. Ukraine was represented by Lutsk groups - national amateur ballroom dance ensemble “Yunist” (“Youth”) and national amateur brass band of Lutsk Palace for Culture. Festival of brass bands in Świecie is a great holiday of music in which orchestras from Belarus, Denmark, Germany, France, Ukraine and 4 orchestras from Poland participated. They performed both: world classic works and national music. One of the required condition of the festival was playing the anthem of Europe “Ode to Joy” by all orchestras. The appearance of contestants from Lutsk in the city’s streets during the participants parade raised a storm of applause and shouts “Glory to Ukraine!”
