Lutsk City Mayor Mykola Romaniuk met with a delegation from Rzeszów (the Republic of Poland)
Welcoming the delegation from Rzeszów, Mykola Romaniuk admited that young people are our future, and exactly they have to develop Ukraine and Europe together. He thanked Polish partners for their support of Ukraine in such a difficult socio-political situation.
Foreign visitors, from their side, also thanked Mayor for the opportunity to participate in the contest "European Olympiad 2014" and gave a welcome address from the President of Rzeszów Tadeusz Ferenc.
"Please, accept the words of respect and gratitude for inviting the delegation from Rzeszow to the tenth celebration of Europe Day in Lutsk. I would like to admit that in the current geopolitical situation, these festivities, of course, are of particular importance because they directly indicate the dreams and aspirations direction of the residents of Lutsk.
The shortest way to a united Europe is through the young generation. Therefore I consider the support of international competition “European Olympiad”, organized for teenagers from Lutsk and partner-cities, is very valuable.
I am convinced that for young people it is a great opportunity to get to know each other, deepen their knowledge about Europe, as well as make new friends. I already congratulate the winners of the Olympiad and their teachers, and believe that all the participants are ready to demonstrate their knowledge about Europe with pleasure" - the President of Rzeszow Tadeusz Ferenc declared.
He also conveyed greetings to all inhabitants of Lutsk and wished that all celebrations on the occasion of Europe Day in Lutsk approached citizens of Lutsk to a complete participation in the European institutions and productive use of their achievements.
