Lutsk City Mayor Mykola Romaniuk took part in a meeting with the Consul General of the Czech Republic in Lviv Miroslav Klima

The meeting took place in Volyn Regional State Administration. The Head of the Regional Administration Hryhorii Pustovit, First Deputy Head of the Regional Council Oleksandr Pyrozhyk, Lutsk City Mayor Mykola Romaniuk, and Consul General of the Czech Republic in Lviv Miroslav Klima have discussed the opportunities for bilateral cooperation of our region and the Czech Republic. 

       “The way the Czech Republic has been through from a socialist republic to a country with modern market economy is a bright example of success for Ukraine. That is why we are ready to adopt your methods”, noted the Head of the Regional State Administration Hryhorii Pustovit. 

The Consul General of the Czech Republic in Lviv Miroslav Klima stressed that “We are ready to assist in establishing partner, cultural, business contacts both on the level of regions and separate cities”.

       “The city of Lutsk has a lot of mutual projects in the spheres of culture, tourism, energy saving, health care on the international level”, told Lutsk City Mayor Mykola Romaniuk about the cooperation of the regional centre with the Czech Republic. “We have 13 partner cities in seven countries of the world. It is pleasant that we have a partner city in the Czech Republic - Kyjov. Recently, a Memorandum about cooperation within the international project “The Gediminids’ Way” with one more Czech city - Kutná Hora was signed”, informed City Mayor Mykola Romaniuk.

       “Consulate General of the Czech Republic is always ready to assist in establishing mutually beneficial contacts”, said Miroslav Klima.
