Lutsk City Mayor participated in the German-Ukrainian evening of friendship
Within the framework of Lutsk City Mayor's visit to Federal Republic of Germany it was planned to participate in the German-Ukrainian evening of friendship, organized by the union «Friendship bridges to Ukraine». The event was held on November 28 in the city of Bad Salzuflen.
At the beginning the floor was taken by the head of union prof. Karl-Hermann Krog. He made a brief overview of activities implemented by the union during the current year, told about humanitarian aid sent to Ukraine, plans concerning internship for the teachers of German and informed that this year 18 students from Lesya Ukrainka Eastern European National University and Lutsk National Technical University had internship in institutions, organizations and enterprises of Lippe district. In addition, annual participants of this event are cultural-art bands «Bandura» and «Dyvostruny» from Lesya Ukrainka Eastern European National University.
Mykola Romaniuk thanked to prof. Karl-Hermann Krog for a long-time activities in the field of charity and organization of internship for young people, experts in education and healthcare. He also stressed that work is finally succeeded and the Memorandum of cooperation between the city of Lutsk and Lippe district was signed. Mykola Romaniuk thanked for 3 ambulances, which were presented to Lutsk in September. Besides, the Mayor emphasized the importance of passing internship for students from Lutsk in institutions of Lippe district and expressed his gratitude to Mr. Krog and those families who hosted young citizens from Lutsk within 2 months. Mykola Romaniuk did not ignore the difficult situation in the east of Ukraine, thanked for support and wished peace for Ukraine and Europe. At the end of his speech, Lutsk City Mayor presented the portrait of St. Mykolai and commemorative coin "Heavenly hundred on the guard" to the head of the union - Mr. Krog and also letters of appreciation to the members of union «Friendship bridges to Ukraine».
During the event, students, having passed the internship, shared their impressions. They thanked the union for organizing internship, heads of institutions and organizations for the friendly attitude at the workplaces, families, in which they lived - for care and custody. Students also talked with Mayor Mykola Romaniuk and took a joint photo.
Cultural and artistic part of the event was provided by the music bands "Bandura" and "Dyvostruny." At the end of German-Ukrainian friendship evening blue and yellow ribbons were distributed among guests, who later performed the anthems of Ukraine and European Union («Ode of Joy» by Beethoven).
