Lutsk hosts Belarusian delegation with the aim of working out cross-border projects
On February 25-26 the working group from the city of Brest (Belarus) was hosted in Lutsk with the aim of developing and working out projects within the framework of the territorial cooperation programme "Belarus-Ukraine". The working meeting was a first step towards identifying common for both cities topics of interest and provided the subject for discussion and analysis of ideas for the future cross-border projects.
Besides, the Belarusian delegation had the opportunity to visit companies and sites where one can already see some results of works performed in these areas: dump of solid waste and garbage sorting line in the village of Bryshche, Lesia Ukrainka Central Park of Culture and Rest, Lutsk zoo modernized by funds of EU, communal enterprise "Lutsksvitlo" and gymnasium #21, where the energy efficiency measures were performed by the loan funds from NEFCO.
The next stage of cooperation between the partner cities of Lutsk and Brest will be the meeting of the working group in Brest to discuss details of the future cross-border initiatives.
