Lutsk is aiming to set up partnerships with Argentine cities

Deputy Mayor of Lutsk City Council Iryna Chebeliuk has met with Elena Leticia Mikusinski, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Argentine Republic to Ukraine, and Jorge Martin Quaranta, the Consul of the Argentine Republic in Ukraine.

The two sides discussed potential areas of cooperation and opportunities to establish partnerships with Argentine cities.

Iryna Chebeliuk provided a concise overview of our city history and warmly welcomed the foreign guests to our community.

She noted, "Given our location in a border region, a considerable number of our residents are familiar with and prioritize the European development of the country. Consequently, the city of Lutsk has been actively pursuing a path aligned with European development. We have successfully implemented multiple initiatives and projects that have improved the quality of life of our community."

Elena Leticia Mikusinski, on her part, has stated that the purpose of the visit is to meet with representatives of the Argentine diaspora in Lutsk, a group consisting of around 15 seniors. "We would like to draw your attention to this diaspora and, if possible, explore opportunities for their involvement in various social or cultural projects," the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Argentine Republic to Ukraine has noted.

Iryna Chebeliuk expressed enthusiasm, stating, "It is pleasant to have Argentinians in our city and we are eager to collaborate with them. Our Department of Culture actively engages with all minority groups within our community and will involve them in a wide range of activities. If there is interest, we are open to considering partnership proposals and sharing our ideas".

During their meeting, the Ambassador also suggested that the cities explore the possibility of establishing a cooperation agreement next year, potentially with Buenos Aires being one of the cities under consideration.
