Lutsk City Mayor Ihor Polishchuk has met with the delegation of the Parliament of the Republic of Lithuania
Lutsk City Mayor Ihor Polishchuk has met with a delegation of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania headed by Vice Speaker Paulius Saudargas and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Lithuania to Ukraine Valdemaras Sarapinas. The delegation has visited Lutsk as part of the “Let's Win Together” biker rally. It was created in support of Ukraine and its route runs through Volyn region.
“I am glad to welcome you in Lutsk. I would like to express our gratitude on behalf of all the residents of our city, Volyn region and Ukraine for the support that our country receives from the Republic of Lithuania in such difficult times,” said Ihor Polishchuk. “It is very important to us that you are not afraid to come to the country where war is raging, as one can never know where a missile will hit. Unfortunately, there is danger all over the territory. However, your courage demonstrates your great support, and we are deeply grateful for it."
Ihor Polishchuk pointed out that starting from 2010, the city of Lutsk has been maintaining partnership and friendly relations with the city of Kaunas, as well as the Trakai and Taurage districts of Lithuania. After the start of the full-scale invasion, the Republic of Lithuania lent Ukraine a helping hand. In particular, Kaunas donated 6 Solaris Urbino 12 buses packed with hygiene products and food inside. The Trakai district sent a large batch of medicines. The Taurage district donated 7 tonnes of humanitarian aid and transferred EUR 20,000 of financial support to the account of the Municipal Enterprise “Lutskvodokanal” to improve the humanitarian situation in the community.
Representatives of the Parliament of the Republic of Lithuania noted that their country is determined to deepen its partnership with Ukraine and will always support the efforts of Ukraine to restore sovereignty and territorial integrity. The participants of the meeting discussed potential directions of expanding cooperation and establishing even closer ties, given the common historical past and the common European future of our countries.

The “Let's Win Together” biker rally was initiated by Ukrainian politician Ihor Huz. The event, with the participation of Lithuanian members of Parliament, aims to express solidarity with Ukraine in its fight against russian aggression. It also strives to remind the European community of the need to support Ukraine as the war continues. The biker rally will last three days from 25 to 27 July. Its route will pass through the cities of Volyn, Rivne, Lviv and Ternopil regions.
