Mayor of Lutsk Mykola Romaniuk died
On 3 February 2017 Lutsk City was rocked by sad news – the premature death of Lutsk City Mayor Mykola Romaniuk. On 5 February thousands of Lutsk inhabitants came to farewell the leader of the city. Among those who came to pay their last tribute to Mykola Romaniuk were also his colleagues and representatives from the partner cities: delegation from Zamość, headed by the President of the City Andrzej Wnuk, delegation from Chełm, headed by Deputy Mayor Stanisław Mościcki and head of Chełm City Council Zygmunt Gardziński, delegation from Bartoszyce District headed by the District Head Wojciech Prokocki.
Condolences on the death of Lutsk City Mayor Mykola Romaniuk were expressed by friendly and partner cities Lublin (Poland), Olsztyn (Poland), Rzeszów (Poland), Białystok (Poland), Xiangtan (China), Brest (Republic of Belarus), Gori (Georgia), Trakai (Republic of Lithuania), Kyjov (Czech Republic), Patras (Greece), Kaunas (Republic of Lithuania), Bandirma (Republic of Turkey), Pont-sur-Seine (France), Lippe District (Germany), Lublin Voivodeship (Poland), Chodzież District (Poland).
We are grateful to everyone who supported us in this difficult time with sincere words of encouragement, we thank all who sent the condolences and attended the funeral.
