Mykola Romaniuk met with Chairman of the Local Economy Committee of the National Economic Chamber in Warsaw Zenon Kiczka
Today Mayor Mykola Romaniuk, Deputy Mayor Taras Yakovlev and the Head of International Cooperation and Project Activities Department Vira Kudriavtseva met with the the Chairman of the Local Economy Committee of the National Economic Chamber in Warsaw Zenon Kichka.
Mr. Kichka put forward a range of proposals to establish possible ways of cooperation. He noted that an international conference "Economic Development. Polish-Ukrainian Cooperation" is planned to be held in Lutsk. This should be a two-day event, to which the representatives of business, government and the public should be invited.
Mykola Romaniuk emphasized his readiness to help organize the event and invite businessmen to participate, as it would be interesting for everyone.
Zenon Kichka also informed about potential foreign investors. According to him, there is an interesting offer from Spain in the sphere of clothing, specifically protective overgarments.
Mykola Romaniuk delegated the task to work on this offer and find options to Taras Yakovlev.
Zenon Kichka spoke of the idea of establishing a Ukrainian-Polish Business Club. According to him, it can be arranged within Lutsk agglomeration that includes Lutsk and its adjacent areas. There’s a possibility of establishing business contacts, implementation of various projects and investments.
Investors from the United Arab Emirates are also interested in forging cooperation with businessmen from Lutsk and Volyn Region. He said they work in the field of consulting and show interest in investing in our enterprises with a view to selling our goods in the Middle East and Africa.
Mykola Romaniuk said that he is interested in such cooperation. According to him, this is a good opportunity for our businessmen to attract investments to their enterprises and find new markets for their goods. He promised to work on the matter of investment from the UAE.
In the end Mykola Romaniuk thanked Zenon Kichka for the meeting. Extremely interesting proposals were put forward and should be worked on. "There is a growing investor interest in our region and city. Foreign businessmen understand that not only Ukrainian authorities but people opted for the EU-course", concluded the Mayor.
