Twinning Agreement between Würzburg and Lutsk has been signed

On December 4, an official ceremony of signing the Twinning Agreement between Würzburg and Lutsk took place at the City Hall in Würzburg, Bavaria, Germany. This important document lays the foundation for our deeper cooperation in the economic, cultural, educational and social sectors.

The ceremony was attended by Lutsk City Mayor Ihor Polishchuk, Mayor of Würzburg Christian Schuchardt, Consul General of Ukraine in Munich Yuriy Nikitiuk and representatives of delegations from both municipalities who had actively contributed to the preparation of the Agreement.

Lutsk City Mayor Ihor Polishchuk expressed his gratitude to Mayor of Würzburg Christian Schuchardt and his community for supporting Lutsk from the very beginning of the full-scale war in Ukraine. He expressed confidence that the partnership would help strengthen ties between the communities and open up new opportunities for joint initiatives.

During the solemn meeting, a representative of the German International Cooperation Society (GIZ) and the city of Würzburg had jointly presented a specialized Mercedes Sprinter designed for the transportation of people with disabilities. The vehicle will serve the municipal institution "Hub Veteran".
