Project of Lutsk City Council became a winner
Project of the Executive Committee of Lutsk City Council "Lutsk agglomeration - cooperation and development of communities of adjacent areas" became the winner of Volyn regional contest of local initiatives. This project is a response to the policy of European Union, which defines the strategy of socio-economic development of the European community for the period till 2020. European Union recognizes city as the most important center of economic development in the region, and highlights the importance of big cities to build a functional relationship with the surrounding territories in order to create urban agglomeration. Lutsk is the biggest city of Volyn region and center for Lutsk, Kivertsi, Rozhyshche areas which will form basis for creation of Lutsk agglomeration. The total cost of project activities is 24 130.00 hrn, including contest fund - 18 880.00 hrn.
