Representatives of Lutsk participated in the international forum on the development of small and medium enterprises in the city of Gori (Georgia)
On 14-17 February 2016 the city of Gori, which is the partner-city of Lutsk, hosted the international forum “The role of local governments in the development of small and medium enterprises”. The event was organized under the management of Gori Municipality in cooperation with the Agency of the development of Gori Municipality. Lutsk was represented by the delegation consisted of the executive committee member of Lutsk City Council Roman Romaniuk and member of Lutsk City Council Yevhenii Tkachuk.
During the first day of the forum representatives of the official delegation from Lutsk had the opportunity to communicate with the governor of Shida Kartli region Zurab Rusyshvili and Mayor of Gori Municipality Zurab Dzhyrkvelishvili, besides they listened to the presentations about the strengths and weaknesses of small and medium enterprises in Gori, energy efficiency measures held in the city. It was also presented the reports of the representatives of Caspian, Karelian and Hashurski Municipalities of Georgia.
The next day of forum demonstrated achievements of Kartuski County, cities of Białystok and Sopot (Poland), delegates of which spoke on social budgeting, incubator of small enterprises and experience in project implementation. This day, the floor was also given to the representatives of the delegation from Lutsk, who spoke on the investment potential of our city.
In addition, the forum program included the working visits to the Georgian cities of Uplistsikhe, Kaspi and Karel, where the meetings with the representatives of the local government were organized. Summarizing the results, it is worth admitting that the forum has become a good opportunity for expansion the cooperation spheres and strengthening relations between the partner-cities of Lutsk and Gori.
