Svyatoslav Kravchuk took part in the opening of Days of Polish culture in Lutsk

Days of Polish culture in Lutsk took place from 12 to 18 May within the framework of Europe Day in Lutsk.  

  The festive opening of Days of Polish culture in Lutsk coincided with the celebration of the 15th anniversary from the foundation of the Society of Polish culture named after Tadeush Kostiushko. The event took place on 12 May in Regional scientific library named after Olena Pchilka. The Head of Volyn Regional Administration Hryhoriy Pustovit, the Deputy Mayor Svyatoslav Kravchuk, the Consul General of the Republic of Poland in Lutsk Beata  Bzhyvchy and the Head of the Society Nina Poremska attended the festivities.

The Deputy Mayor Svyatoslav Kravchuk said that Polish and Ukrainian cultures interlaced in Lutsk and the city cooperation with Polish intelligentsia is one of the highest in Ukraine. Thus, Lutsk has six sister cities in the territory of Poland, schools in Lutsk cooperate with Polish schools and many pupils in Lutsk study Polish. He agreed that the history of Polish and Ukrainian peoples is very complex but today these countries are the example of how to be good neighbours.
