Lutsk office has been opened in Brussels within the European Committee of the Regions

On Tuesday, March 19, the Lutsk office was officially opened in Brussels at the European Committee of the Regions. The official opening was visited by: Iryna Chebeliuk, Deputy Mayor of Lutsk, Patrick Molinos, Chair of the CIVEX Commission of the European Committee of the Regions, Oleksandra Azarkhina, Deputy Minister for Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development of Ukraine, Olena Shulyak, Chairwoman of the Committee on the Organization of State Power, Local Self-Government, Regional Development and Urban Planning, and Sergiy Tereshko, Deputy Head of Ukraine to the EU.

 

The initiation of the Lutsk office in Brussels was driven and supported by the member of Lutsk City Council Oleksandr Lazuka, who will coordinate the work of the office.

The presence of a representative office in the capital of the European Union will enable participation in the initiatives of the European Committee of the Regions, improve the access of the city to EU programs and attract resources as well as facilitate the presentation of Lutsk at various European platforms.

As part of the visit to Belgium, representatives of Lutsk City Council, including Iryna Chebeliuk, Deputy Mayor, Anna Vintsiuk, Head of International Cooperation and Project Activities Department, as well as Oleksandr Lazuka, a member of Lutsk City Council, participated in the European Summit of Regions and Cities held in the city of Mons.

 

Since January 2024, Lutsk City Council has become an associate member of the European Alliance of Cities and Regions for the Reconstruction of Ukraine.
