The number of buses on route No. 31 will be increased in Lutsk
Today, members of the Executive Committee of Lutsk City Council decided to amend the network of public bus routes of Lutsk City Territorial Community. The main changes relate to route No. 31, "'Slon' Shopping Centre – Boholiuby Medical Centre."
Over the past year, passenger traffic on route 31 has grown significantly. According to the automated fare collection system (AFCS), 143,155 passengers were transported in October 2023, and in October 2024, 161,718 passengers were transported, an increase of 13%. Notably, more than 600 passengers depart from the Boholiuby Medical Centre stop alone each day.
The increased demand for this route has led to overloading of buses, as their number and passenger capacity have remained unchanged. This, in turn, has resulted in numerous requests from citizens to improve the quality of transportation.
To address the issue, the Executive Committee has decided to increase the number of buses on route No. 31 on weekdays from eight to ten, maintaining the same class and category of buses.
